Suleiman knows that if he forces Canelo to fight benevidez.. He will vacate and boycott the WBC forever! And will never fight for the wbc again! There is absolutely no proof of this. If we're learning anything just examining the division is that it's probably not as good as it's been hyped up to be. The only two division champ there is Saunders. Smith's resume was fine, Groves and N'Dam to me are B/C level wins over two of the chinniest fighters over 154 not named Kovalev. It's a fine win for Canelo, don't get me wrong. But it turns out Smith really is the guy who lost to John Ryder.
