Smith in my opinion under performed big time. Surely he is struggling to make the weight.

If any fighter has to 'MAKE THE WEIGHT' they should not be at the weight.
People complained when I said big guys shouldn`t compete in lower divisions.

You dictate what other boxers should do, keyboard warrior? He is still young and just 1 loss to canelo isn't the end of the world. He can fight other guys. You have to see what he has before writing him off. He is obviously not as skilled as the elite, but he can still fight his ass off. He is no rocky fielding or szretmeta as he has decent enough skills to still give other guys tough fights.

If any fighter has to tell people 'Hey I have the make the weight' then that fighter should not be at that weight.

If there is a conscious effort which dominates your day, to make a weight? You should not be at that weight.

If Usain Bolt had to make weight, I doubt he would of won any Olympic Gold Medals 'Smith looked terrible the other night'.

            Money > everything else.
Smith has some nice options available. He can rematch Ryder. If Kovalev wins, he could angle for that fight. He could even pick up a easy win and ask for Bivol next. He’s got a few good fights left in him.

Unless he comes back and starches another SMW champ which is extremely unlikely, similar to how I feel about Danny Garcia, I think they’re done. What other champ will fight them after that ****show?
No, he shouldn't retire and if everyone retired after one loss then there wouldn't be any fighters left

He's feels like a pretty inactive fighter at times, like he was willing to wait on the Canelo fight no matter what. He's had that now though, and is only 30 so I imagine the hunger to continue is still there.

He was totally perplexed by an elite fighter, but I'd still pick him over the likes of Plant. The better fighters, the champs in the division will be on call for a Canelo shot now anyway though.

He's spoke about moving up, but 175 brings tough fights also.

Maybe Canelo should have retired after he lost to Floyd...

Why? He lost against the top p4p fighter. If anything he had more eyes on him than ever. There is some fights for him out there. It is up to him how he does going forward with his career.
