When Lara and Floyd gave him problems Canelo wasn't really a pressure, stalker type of fighters. He wasn't a complete fighter. Now he is, his high guard, his parries and his head movement. If he faces Lara again, Lara won't make it out of the 8th round. He's just gonna beat him up really bad. He is not going to box him just like he wasn't boxing GGG, Kovalev and Smith. He's just going to go after them and it's much easier to cut the ring off against smaller fighters.

Canelo killls Floyd and Lara easily too.Originally posted by TernceBudCharloThis is so ******. GGG, Kovalev, Smith, Fielding have always ****** at fighting off of the back foot. You can't say that being able to have some success coming forward against them means he'd beat Lara or Floyd in a rematch.
But Floyd busy fighting 18 yr old Japanese boysComment

I hate the term "slick" (what does that even mean), but if we mean someone with good reflexes and defense, solid hand speed, footwork, good lateral movement, and ability to fight off the back foot, Andrade and Charlo are much better at all those things than any recent Canelo opponent. Different styles from Floyd or Lara for sure, but they offer some things that Canelo has struggled with In the past. Plus they got some pop too.
Power never really gave Canelo problems which is why those recent fights aren't big risk. A good jab does which is why he wasn't able to dominate GGG or Kovalev (at least before knocking him out). Andrade and Charlo have elite jabs.Comment

I think he does better now against out boxers who utilize the ring cuz he’s now specialized in being an aggressive counter puncher or smart pressure fighter if you will!
I think he struggles the most with a focused Saunders!
Only styles that can beat Canelo is a volume puncher with a chin and an out boxer who’s bigger an more athletic!
Canelo’s experience can also kind of offset that cuz he’s fought those styles beforeComment
