This is just a filler/mandatory fight he is setting up before his real fight in May or September.

He's not like the others making their Mandatory their main and only fight of the year.

If there aren't any travel restrictions, might attend this fight live. I've never been to Mexico city and it would be a good excuse to visit.

Unification, so no need to worry about the mandatory. BJS said he’s happy to fight Canelo as long as he gets a full camp, not the 4 weeks Smith and Kovalev got.

The fight was a done deal for may but it got cancelled due to covid, so make it happen next.

That’s the fight that needs to happen but I think it will be Yildirim. Canelo has never fought a slick southpaw since Lara. He will use the fight in Mexico for someone like Yildirim who he can carry and beat up at will just for the spectacle, not a potentially very tricky fight with a style he has struggled with.

People saying it would get his mandatory out of the way. Lol it’s Canelo, he could probably get away without fighting a mandatory for years, especially with the WBC. He has free reign with them. They even openly defended him when he got caught doping.

Mexico would be cheap if you have Euro or Dollar as well as the tickets, but that country was high on the list for infections. I wouldn�t advise going

Canelo said he plans to fight 3 times in 2021. So assume the May and September dates will be unifications

Quick turnaround and nothing wrong with a keep busy fight if anybody deserves it it’s canelo.
