Mares vs Agbeko: worst referee job ever?

I haven’t been following boxing for too long, but I saw highlights of a fight between Mares and Agbeko:

Never seen anything like it. Mares must have landed...12-15 low blow at least? Mares never lost a point, and was awarded the victory. Either the referee was incompetent or corrupt. I don’t remember this fight when it happened. What was the fallout, if any?
