Canelo's defense was impressive, but what impressed me most was..

How it looked almost like he had Callum Smith on a string.

Callum would pick up a foot and not even move yet and Canelo would instinctively pick up the same foot, almost like he was waiting for him. Like he knew where he was about to go.

Mayweather said you need use angles on Canelo, but I think I could count on one hand when Callum was actually able to force Canelo to turn.

Smith has never been one to use a lot of angles though.

Floyd has said before he thinks Saunders gives Canelo problems and I agree. He actually uses angles very well, southpaw etc.

Although Canelo will be a big favourite in most people’s eyes. He hasn’t fought anyone quite like that since Lara, which some felt he lost. You can say he improved since then, but there’s no evidence to suggest he can be comfortable with that style now, he hadn’t fought a slick southpaw since, so how would we know?

That’s why I want to see that fight. If the very best BJS shows up, then Canelo has to show sides to his game he hasn’t needed to show, because Saunders isn’t just going to be infront of him all night.

We know what Canelo can do against guys like he has been fighting. What can he do with the first slick southpaw since Lara?

Styles make fights so I wanna see how Canelo approaches that.

Give me BJS vs. Chrith Jr. II & the winner gets Saul.

My fav was when Alvarez anticipated which direction Smith would move to try getting off the ropes

Alvarez would stop the movement with a power shot

Agreed Smith isn’t that good. Prime groves would starch Canelo in my opinion.
