Canelo vs Andre Ward (prime) at 168

I was impressed by Canelo, he seems to be still improving, which I didn’t think was the case.

How would he fair against prime Ward at 168? I would make Canelo a slight favourite.

    Ward would show him levels.

Let's not get it twisted Callum Smith is GARBAGE who was coming off a loss to British level John Ryder

His only ever good performance was against the shot old ghost of groves

Ward is so far above its not funny

I'm not sure anymore, a year ago I would have said wide UD Ward, but this "new" Canelo might take him

Jeez. Canelo has really impressed everyone on this forum man its really scary when you get a thread like this. Not really even sure what to say besides Ward would beat him he'd be the 2nd pure boxer he faced and first he wouldn't be bigger than, which would be a culture shock.

Whenever he loses again the internet will truly break.

            Ward out-wrestles him easily...

I was thinking about this during the Smith fight. I never really imagined Canelo being this good at 168 to beat someone like Ward but he seems to have adapted to the new weight with ease.

I’d still lean towards prime Ward for now but depending on what he did at 168 moving forward I could change my mind one day.

Before I would say Ward beats him easy, but I am not sure anymore. I don’t think Ward would be able to tired him up and push around. Canelo is just as good fighting inside IMO. It seems to me Canelo is punching harder than Ward, has a good variety of punches, and is strong as an ox.

I never areed that Ward was p4p number 1 or as good as so many thought he was. I think Canelo beats him.

depends on ref, judges and location. if everything neutral then canelo wide UD. if it was the usual ward fight set up and he could use his wrestling, headbutts, elbows and low blows and bias judges i'd say ward 116-112 something like that
