canelo went from not being able to drop or KO old mosley and couldnt even hurt cotto (something sadam ali was able to do easily) to hurting big guys like smith and kovalev. and canelo sparring heavyweights and these heavyweights are saying canelo hits really hard.

canelo is definitely roiding like crazy. he has perfected the steroid punches. disgusting.

just LOL if you think he isn't on PEDs of some sort. Newsflash: majority of the top fighters are definitely on something.

Mayweather, Pacquiao, Marquez, Wladimir, Tyson, Roy Jones, Holyfield are all good examples. Probably even current fighters like GGG, obviously Anthony Joshua, are other examples.

Not sure why some of you act like it's a surprise. Lol @ people who believe a 40 year old professional athlete would be more muscular and shredded compared to when they were say, 27 years old. Wow, must have suddenly discovered bodybuilding at such a late age

          PROVE IT!

I think majority of the fighters are on something regardless if it is to CUT WEIGHT or to Bulk Up and get Stronger and Improve Stamina. It is always ways around these Test ESPECIALLY when you're a Big Draw in this sport and generate so much money. People will let you get away with a lot more compared to slow lower rated guy that is just how the sport goes...hell that is how LIFE GUYS!

In the past he was more of a backfoot fighter who welcomed inside exchanges now he seeks them out on the front foot.
We can look at little stylistic things, I have ashamedly tried to justify fighters in the past. But sometimes you have to look at it with honest eyes, there is no doubt he has improved technical aspects and also moving forward, but the evidence is damming, and look back at the performances particularly where there was no random testing and/or short camps vs long camps and testing.

I dont think Trout was that tentative, he out threw and outlanded Canelo. A shot Shane Mosley stood in front of him.

He threw the same zinging punches back then they just didnt have as much power on them, like nowhere near. He also wasnt particularly strong in the back half of fights - if you really want to see it you will. Trust me I'm not looking for it, but it's so obvious.

Smith never went down and ate the majority of his punches pretty well.

              Jacobs did too.

              GGG also took them.

Chavez Jr also took them fairly well.

The only top 10 ranked fighters he has KO’ed recently were Kovalev and Liam Smith.

              Cotto, Lara, Trout, Mayweather, Mosley.

These fights were all 12 rounds.

Dating back to Austin Trout, counting only Ring top 10 fighters at the time, Canelo is 9-1-1 with 2 wins by KO’s.

So i’m not sure I see this tremendous power that can only be obtained with PED’s. If anything, Canelo’s power decreased considerably as he went up in weight and competition. And i’m sorry but PED’s don’t give you a good chin.

This thread is ******. Canelo has always had power. That's why he is where he is at. Of course if you are barley tuning in to his fights you wouldn't know that. People who have followed him from the beginning already know this. Casuals just need to do their home work and learn the sport before saying dumb zhit.

His neck has always been naturally thick like that. It’s called genes.

When it rears its head in such an obvious way it needs to be mentioned, not a surprise as you say.
