Canelo has too much respect for his boxing God and daddy to do that. That lesson is etched in Canelo's head that he throws punches like Floyd now. The uppercuts tonight were a replica from his schooling.

Get in the gym! Spar, see what it feels like
it happened in just the 2nd or 3rd round which means canelo did that with just a few punches at best.

remember that canelo struggled to even drop an old mosley or an old cotto. but is now capable of doing that kind of damage to someones arm with only a couple of punches and KO'ing light heavyweights.

also remember that canelo has a confirmed history of roiding.

You guys aren’t honest boxing fans. If the narrative exists for fighters “drained” or not as powerful at their projected weight, then how come it doesn’t apply to Canelo whom was 20 fighting Mosley and smaller than today?

You guys claim to know boxing, but Canelo in the gym hitting the heavybag back in 2010 was younger than the top prospects today. He didn’t grow into his full man strength yet. He even grew more since the age of 20.

Stop it. And even if you said Canelo was a “Middleweight” at age 20 then it proves his power was deprived at 154 right? That’s the reason why couldn’t KO Mosley or a catch with Cotto?

You guys cry about dehydrations for others but it Canelo is dehydrated you guys run away and don’t apply the same reality. LMAO

Just watched the fight after waking up. I had it 9-3 canelo, smith did far better than I expected to be honest. I didn’t think he would make the distance to be honest, he never really looked in doubt of making it to the end despite the punishment (particularly last 3 rounds). Canelo is just an awesome fighter overall - he took smiths punches and just continued walking forwards!

MMA fighters do this to their opponents legs, they eat at it until it’s taken away. You can see Smith had no power in his punches by mid rounds, he seem helpless even though he threw over 500 punches.

Canelo wasn't being forced to cut for those fights, and Canelo has always hit hard, especially to the body. Its just unusual that he has carried it up all the way.

Carried what? Canelo hits hard, and executes on opponent mistakes. Canelo isn’t blasting elites away with general shots the way Berlanga is with random fighters

Its old school, just as corking the legs standing on their feet, hitting on the refs blind side , dragging gloves across cuts there is lots of moves in proffesional boxing.
