It’s all physics, momentum/inertia. First, Foreman is a juggernaut! Second, some styles of heavy handed boxers/sluggers don’t recoil their punches after committing. For example, in boxing, it’s considered disciplinary to be in defensive mode immediately after punching. Of course not all boxers follow these rules at any given time. In a guy like Foreman, he’s just straight blunt force trauma when he throws and all that force he lets go in one direction, so consider the weight moving forward. Foreman was significantly more offensive than defensive, particularly with his cross armed defense...

Sometimes the fighters who look slow are, faster than they appear inside the ring 'Foreman probably had decent 1 punch speed'.

      Speed x Force = Power.

      Force / Time = Speed.

Speed is how fast you can apply a force, in the shortest amount of time 'Foreman was generating a lot of FORCE, but not applying that force as fast as Mike Tyson for example 'That is why Tyson was described as a more explosive puncher'.

A truck generates more FORCE than a formula 1 car, but is not as fast etc 'Power is not entirely all about speed'.

Tyson Fury for example, has pretty fast punching speed for his size 'But still he does not generate the type of force you would expect'.

Tyson Fury does not generate super-heavyweight force.

Actually his punches had good speed at the end of the punch were it matters and makes and connects and he put much of his big arms and shoulders into his punches with good punching form.
