If this brings more mainstream attention to boxing - it’s all good. Especially if there is a charity component

Yeah easy to say this when you are earning what he does. It’s all about the money? So signing with dazn wasn’t?

Meanwhile, the American sports fan has forgotten all about Canelo since his move from hbo to obscurity on dayzin

I mean he's not wrong, there are levels to this game & the line isn't very clear or defined, but here's my issue. Boxers don't comment on the things that are an insult to boxing when its good for them not to or that really matter to the greater good of boxing like speaking out against corrupt ass ABC Groups.

And I mean lets not act like Canelo vs JCC Jr wasn't a novelty fight too at that stage of JCC Jr's run in boxing. If JCC's last name was Williams instead of Chavez that fight never happens. And I'll be surprised if Canelo doesn't take advantage of this again in the future.

Exactly. These fights have nothing to do with the legacy of boxing. It’s entertainment only and is not preventing real boxing matches from happening. Those who enjoy it will tune in. Those who don’t will not. Boxing will continue.

He is not crying he was a question. What is he suppose to answer, that its a great match for the sport. People will be paying to see Paul make a fool of himself.

First ding, this fellah is in no position to make public criticisms about any other person within his sport given his “ungentlemanly” conduct with drugs.
Second ding, floyd mayweather not only beAt him easily but also, can lay right to beating every other top dog through the weight categories he sailed (with ease) and going forward, with exhibition type fights such as the one he had in japan would not count for a win on his card.
Yes, it’s purely for money but floyd would absolutely insist that the opponent would be physically fit to step through the ropes.
I say fack it, the man is a money machine however, ts the opponent who don’t deserve the riches. It’s like jumping a queue from the bottom of the ladder to world champ money and it’s that I don’t go with.

He could answer Floyd did a lot in his career for boxing including pass me the torch. I am happy he is getting a good pay day in retirement without risking his health.
