If he had not landed that monster punch in round 10, most people would have said ...
Did Foreman simply get lucky in his fight with Moorer?

That was no lucky punch it was a perfect set up one two. Maybe luck was on the side making it a ko but Foreman pulled the trigger himself and nothing can be taken away from that . -

I agree -- that was the only way he could win -- but the chance of landing the home-run punch was inevitably quite smallComment

Luck is a part of any fight . Lewis was lucky that Tyson didn't land ,Buster was lucky he 'beat the count' so was Tunney vs Dempsey . Foreman was a great fighter and an even greater knockout artist he knew what he was doing from the start. George had to have known that the fight was going to run the way it did until that point and when he says he set Morrer up I have to trust his word on it .with power like Foreman has there is very little luck needed to land a crushing blow I would say it was less luck on his side and more being that Michael was unlucky to walk into it .Originally posted by NautilusI agree -- that was the only way he could win -- but the chance of landing the home-run punch was inevitably quite smallComment

foreman was way behind on points but he had to know that would hapen against a guy with such a strong jab
but the knock out wasn;t just luck, hge got throuh with two weak 1-2s before he plowed it through moorers head, he knew what he was doing IMHOComment

He knew what he was doing but I disagree with the whole " I was setting him up" explanaition that he gave afterwards. Moorer got careless and paid the price. Big TimeComment

not sure why you disagree that he was setup. He threw a left hand to moorer's body to get him to start moving to the left, right into george's power hand.Comment

Foreman was setting him up the whole fight by pawing at him with the left at that distance, giving Moorer a false sense of security.Comment

George Foreman, who's career record was 76-5 with 68ko's got lucky that he landed a knockout? Just think about that for a second and this thread answers itself.Comment
