Canelo/Smith weight in video

Smith can really crack with both hands.

In some ways, you could say Smith might be the most dangerous guy he’s fought. Kovalev is faded, but even at most dangerous, he never had the variety Smith does in terms of doing damage. Smith has a really good punch selection with both hands, both to the head and body. Much sharper than the old version of Kovalev. Surprisingly quite fast short shots for a lanky guy too.

Of course there’s levels and the reality is Smith might just not be on that level. But he can throw some real damaging shots with both hands from all distances. He might not be on the level of some guys Canelo fought at middleweight and below overall, but he’s a huge 168 fighter with power in both hands. That’s still potential for any smaller guy if they get caught right.

Not denying Smith can whack...... I just do not think Canelo will be caught clean, and his head-movement is honestly A+ when fighting taller opponents.

I can see Smith backtracking the whole fight and throwing out range-finders and Canelo walking him down and utilising the feet, body and head movement, and getting his shots off.

Smith will land lots on Canelo's gloves..... mark my words.
