Canelo isn't going to fight for anything less than 20M at this point. Maybe slightly less but in that range. I think this fight will have to take place on DAZN. You can try to put it on PPV but man that's going to be rough.

DAZN apparently is willing to fund an Alvarez-Yildirim fight, as long as Alvarez commits to facing Golovkin next, presumably May 8.

And it makes sense from DAZN's perspective that they put on a complete mismatch to get rewarded with the trilogy. I wonder if they will still be fine with Canelo fights BJS in May after Yildrim?

Maybe not. That might be what Canelo would want but a Saunders fight might not get a lot of subs.

I'm good with this Feb fight as long as he goes after BJS and Plant on May and Sep.

I think he'll try to fight Avni in Feb just to fulfill the deal of the mandatory and have open road for the undisputed way next year.

Not cool with the fight itself but cool if is just done to make an undisputed next year.

Just a question or 2 but why is it Canelo had no desire for the WBC belt until it became vacant and do you think he will ever fight Benavidez?

I get Canelo is top dog in the sport and he does fight big names BUT he doesnt exactly leave much room for error. IMO he is following a Mayweather blueprint to strike it rich and the legacy is debatable later on apparently.

Floyd fought the best names possible but critics would say he fought them when he had the upper hand not at their best. The same could be said about Canelo couldn't it?

I would not say that Canelo cares for the belt so much as he cares to fight the top guy at 168. For some reason Canelo does not want to fight Mexican's and Benavidez may fall into that category.
