Comments Thread For: Tyson Fury: Next Year, The Anthony Joshua Fight Has To Happen

There's no contractual obligations, the deadline passed in October.

Fury wants to secure his legacy against Joshua, he's already beaten Wilder twice so there's nothing left to prove there.

No one believes that. You’re just giving a low level attempt at trolling

No need for Fury to face Wilder again since unless Wilder has totally changed his style he will always lose badly.

Rather, there are new up incoming prospects that should need an opportunity AFTER Fury vs AJ is made.

Imo Joyce, Hrgovic, Yoka, Ajagba, Hunter and...why not...Usyk all need to have a shot at the top 2.

Fury has no contractual obligation to Wilder, who really should concern himself with learning to box before getting destroyed yet again.

You’re partially right in that I’m pretty sure Fury and particularly his promoters will be far more desperate for this fight because there isn’t anywhere else for them to go and make money. His UK homecoming this month was cancelled for this reason, and who knows whether a Wilder rematch will ever be financially viable.

That said, who really cares what Fury’s motivation is. In this case it’s the best wanting to fight the best, and that’s what we should all want.

It will happen next year, just not in the spring. Is that acceptable?

He's defended the lineal title multiple times.

If Fury beats Joshua he goes down as the greatest HW of this era.
