Canelo is a very stocky dude. He is very heavy for his height but is not overweight. The guys in my family are the same as well. A lot of people think we are lighter and are surprised when we tell them what we weigh. It is not exactly common but not rare either

However, he could have been born a shade darker with black or brown hair and even if he was 90% white, he might be referred to as mixed and not really white. A popular one here in the US is the "white (*Hispanic)" clasification.
