Because he can! Same as that new guy at 154 who is like 6ft 1 inch not to mention Hurd. Plus Gilberto Ramirez was at 168 a long time and he is same as Smith.

I know you're talking about weight bullying but Canelo could still make 160 if he wasn't packing so much muscle so it's his choice too.

It's more or less a level playing field except it rewards the disciplined.

It's genetics too. Nobody complains about Teofimo having weight-bully power at 135.

It will be a bit awkward - two brothers beaten by Canelo. I don't see Smith winning: for one, Canelo is an elite level fighter who has great defense and very solid chin - this alone significantly minimizes the chances of Smith KOing Canelo. And Smith isn't the hardest puncher, so that's that. Secondly, if the fight goes to the cars, which it probably will, we all know who will win this one, don't we? 114-114, 118-110 - just sayin...I just hope Smith will lose on a close enough decision that would allow him and his fans to use the word "robbery". That is not to say that Canelo can't win on points legitimately, but either scenario - Smith's chances are minuscule.

So nearly everybody thinks Canelo will win. How is this even a big fight?

Could this be the excuse he uses when he loses ?

His KO's have come against slow guys with no power.

Just wait until the fight. You will see the difference in power and speed.

I'm not really a fan of Canelo because he cherry picks his opponents and this is the biggest cherry he has ever fought.
Canelo couldn't stop Cotto or trout or Matthew Hatton. Has Smith ever been stopped? Has he ever even been dropped?

First, Canelo was a JR middle weight or middle weight during those fights. Second who has Smith fought that could have dropped him. He's only fought bums from the uK.

Smith will get dropped and KO'd in this fight because he's a bum and Canelo is a bum. Or don't you remember the beating Floyd gave him.

If this fight does not go past 7 round I'll stop posting after this fight.

There is a reason why is Callum at 168, fighting much smller guys. Because jr. heavyweight Beterbiev probably kills him, lol.
                      As I predicted.
