American fight fans tend to be a bit clanish about their own fighters, and some are not 'real' boxing fans, so they tend to talk a lot of **** about fighters they know very little about. I'm Mexican/American but that doesn't make me anymore knowledgable about boxing then the next fella. I appreciate boxing for what it is, an international sport. I don't favor fighters based on their national origin, or their ethnic backround, I favor them based on sportsmanship and athletic ability. Calzaghe has all these. I saw him fight Evans Ashira with a busted right hand, and I saw him ridicule 'Left Hook' Lacy soon after he was accusing Calzaghe of being scared and trying to 'worm his way out of a fight with me' when the original date of the fight was pushed, because of Joe's injury. It would be nice if Junior Witter and Joe would fight in the States a lot more often just so they can warm up to American fight fans. I would like for Calzaghe to give Roy Jones a shot at his Super Middle Ring Belt, and Witter to fight either Hatton or Floyd. Though I suppose that's wishfull thinking .

Vanes sparred Bika(black guy) at the WildCard Gym, and Bika looked pretty good although most agreed Vanes won the sparr session.
