I've never considered aj a great champ. He's a decent boxer with a great body backing his poor chin and average technique.

Okay, still I would like to see him proof it in the ring against a boxee as prime and skilled as AJ. Wlad was way past when both men fought him and we all know that Wilder is a one trick pony. I don't dispute that Fury's a skillful boxer but he's not unbeatable as many believe. In sense DDD spoke with wisdom.

Let's relax and see how the match unfold when it eventually take place. I have seen too many bouts in recent years where our experts completely got it wrong. So nowadays I just relax and see what happens at the end of a clash, more so when we are talking about the elite of HW.

I could see this being a stinker like Fury - Wlad. I expect Fury to be very wary of AJ's power - just as he was of Wlad's. But the thing is, AJ is a tad quicker on his feet than a 39 year old Wlad and more explosive. So Fury will engage even less than against Wlad.

AJ on the other hand is susceptible to fast combos as we saw with Ruiz. He'll want Fury to come into mid range and stay there - but Fury won't do that and also his head movement, lateral movement will make AJ hesitant to throw and miss.

You have to compare like with like. ie AJ with other heavyweights. Compared to most heavyweights this century he has great offensive technique and average defensive skills (poor hands for covering and mental freeze under fire)

It's just that Fury's footwork is maybe top ten EVER for a HW - maybe even top five? Fury is maybe the best HW since the nineties - above both Klitschos but he doesn't have the resume yet - but if he beats AJ twice then I guarantee some people on here will be calling him the HW GOAT.
