The big similarity is both will have ended up with losses to Fury.

Wlad was a very good fighter in a time where he was far superior to his peers.

Joshua is in a time where there’s a fighter better than him. The other fighters around the division are much closer to AJ than they were to Wlad too.

Oh and that he does the Wlad trick of making fighters sign rematches for mandatory shots.

There was one heavyweight who was significantly better than Wlad. But the brothers wouldn't fight lol

              Lol true

Well I’m not sure who was better, Vitali’s resume was thin in terms of good wins. Besides, he was out of the game for a good while too.

Even so, as you said, they weren’t gonna fight anyway.

He won’t have the longevity or accolades of Wlad though. AJ won’t be around that much longer IMO. He’s already made great money. After a potential loss to Fury I could see him possibly retiring. I think Fury only has a couple more fights too tbh.

Any Manager or Promotor with half a brain would secure a rematch clause for a unified champion. Even Wilder had a rematch clause with Fury but if Aj does it it’s some kind of trick. I’m beginning to think AJ slapped your boyfriend on the arse because this hate is real

Joshua has more in common with Mike Tyson

Both come on the scene knocking people out with ease and gaining huge popularity

They had big name wins but over faded old inactive guys like Larry Holmes and Klitschko

Then both got knocked out by underdog contenders like Ruiz and Buster

And then when Joshua faces a guy who is a top fighter and no longer faded I.e Fury, he will suffer defeat like Mike Tyson did against guys like Holyfield.

That was a voluntary defense. Mandatories do not come with rematch clauses unless you negotiate a separate deal. That's what he's referring to.
