Hearn is a character and good for the sport. He did have amateur fights growing up which can be confirmed by boxers and coaches that were around at the time.

He tries to blag he had 4 amateur fights winning all 4 and 3 by way of under the name Eddie Hills.

Had to change his name apparently, yet Eubank Jr, Campbell Hatton or even Muhammad Ali’s daughter all had amateur contests and didn’t have to change their names.

And for some reason there’s no footage or record of any of these contest and no former opponent or amateur coach has ever been mentioned, or has come forward to verify claims.

Even if AJ fights Usyk 1st, it only delays the fight for 6 months. So what's the fuss?

Why don't they just do what they did to Fury with the IBF strip the winner immediately, they'll get their sanctioning fees from one of the biggest fights in modern heavyweight boxing and they'll also be fulfilling their obligations to Usyk, or as you stated step aside fee i doubt it though Usyk is no spring chicken and waiting on the side-lines for a year is out of the question for him at least in his mind.

They stripped fury because he committed to the rematch instead of the IBF mandatory. He wasn’t stripped for the Wlad fight.
