Froch is one of the few pundits who gives an honest assessment. Nelson et al might as well stick Joshua t shirts on and do some cheerleading!

What a balance post. I don't consider Fury a credible heavyweight. At his level he doesn't send offers to fighters. It's such a shame! I am not sure he believes in the "one world champion" mantraWilder's problem was not that he lost. Can happen to anyone. Happened to the overwhelming majority of the greatest fighters that ever lived.
His problem is his behavior after the fight. It isn't just that the made the series of ridiculous excuses he did. It's the fact that by doing so he signals that he hasn't come to terms with the reality and hence he can't learn from it.
When AJ lost he IMMEDIATELY invoked the rematch and went back in the gym. He learnt from his loss, came back and won.
Wilder had the same chance. He just didn't take it.
Personally I think he has practically NO chance against Fury. And I suspect in his heart he knows it and that fact underlies his behavior.
So until his behavior changes to that of a serious professional ready to be humble and learn, he is for all intents and purposes out of the picture.
With regard to AJ if you look at the resumes of ALL current top heavyweights his resume is ridiculously better than anyone else's.
And that includes Fury.
I don't know who will win Fury vs AJ. It will be a very very interesting fight. I suspect AJ will take it because he is more skillful than most people seem to realize, his games is maturing, he hits incredibly hard and he is a ruthless finisher. But he can be caught and his chin is suspect. Whether Fury has the power I don't know. And the new post Ruiz AJ is a more mature fighter, better able to balance risk and opportunity. A very interesting fight.
The AJ Fury fight(s) will be made and it will be as soon as the money is there to satisfy them both. No other fights matter for either of them.Comment

Wilder invoked the rematch clause literally about a week after losing. Their rematch was meant to take place in July and December. It was delayed first due to Wilders bicep injury and again due the networks unwillingness to hold the fight during the college football games.Wilder's problem was not that he lost. Can happen to anyone. Happened to the overwhelming majority of the greatest fighters that ever lived.

This is what annoys with Joshua and anyone whose partial to him. The deviously laced bull**** to make it seem as is Joshua is better is better than he is. Talk of resume, deliberate ignoring of Joshuas lack of conviction from his own mouth, this talk of "money to satisfy them both. Its all nonsense. I GUARANTEE Hearn will start belly flopping again and, you like most of his idiot fans, will start talking about how Fury, a guys whose already fought world title fights three times on foreign soil, is somehow avoiding this fight.Comment

Thack, exactly what I was thinking. #2 and #3 fight it out to see who the real #2 isComment

I disagree with one thing you said, that he isn’t good business. I think it’s clear he generates money otherwise dayzin wouldn’t have bid 100m for him. And the fact that he and fury set the record for a heavyweight title fight in terms of gate. Fury could barely sell tickets in Vegas but wilder with fury was a winner. I’ve been to a wilder fight in Birmingham, Alabama and it was sold out and the crowd was singing Crimson Tide songs.
Obviously a fight with wilder and Joshua does big business in any country. The problem is Edward will want to be in total control and dictate to Wilder as if he physically owns him....with disdain. Hearn himself is a reason why dayzin didn’t make the impact it should have among boxing fans and his bully like treatment of wilder is an excellent example of a major ball being dropped.Comment

Well, theres lot of fights for josh. But hopefully the fury fight is next as they don't want to slip up and sabotage the fight. Josh could fight Usyk, but if Usyk were to beat Josh, that would be terrible.Comment

I think Fury is clearly the best, but Joshua is the best challenge out there. I'd like to see Usyk against either of them though. Usyk isn't a big puncher but he can be tricky so I don't think they just walk through him.Comment

Fury will KO Joshua
If Fury brings it to AJ like he did to Wilder, with brutality and sustained aggression, he will knock AJ out.Comment
