I've maintained this stance for a while now and believe it is the best thing for both boxers and gives time for the vaccine to take effect and get maximum fans in attendance.
Joshua should face Usyk in April at the latest....... Fury needs to get Wilder out of the equation....... Fury/Joshua in July/August.

I've been leaning this way myself, I think it's best to clear the mandatories.
Thing is, Fury v Wilder is also dependent on getting crowds back, they won't stage the fight until that happens.

I just do not want this fight to be done in an empty arena........ it deserves the proper promotion and a full stadium and event that will go down in history.
Whether in the US or UK I just want fans and normality back before the fight happens.
Both can have good fights before the big one. Joshua/Usyk and Fury/Wilder3 are both good fights to enjoy while waiting for crowds to come back.
If Wilder and his team are trying to wait out the pandemic for that fight then I wouldn't even be bothered if they fight someone else.... I just want Fury to have a fight, any fight, he's been out too long and needs rounds.
Bin it if it is an issue. It would still be for the undisputed moniker if they chuck one of them in the bin.
I suppose for Usyk personally it is win win. The winner of the fight will want to fight him and he will walk into a multi million pound fight for all the marbles. Well unless another title belt has to be binned, lol
From Wilders angle you can understand why he is going to have to go through the courts otherwise he is well and truly frozen out. It would be the back end of 2022 before he could fight for a title and he will 37 years old.
If Fury gets tied up with Wilder then sure, might as wll get it out of the way. If not and the opportunity to make AJ-Fury next presents itself, then I'd be fine with Joshua dumping the belt to make it, though for sure it'd be frustrating to have an opportunity to crown an undisputed champ go down the u-bend. Usyk being mandatory is ridiculous to begin with if I'm being perfectly honest. On the evidence of Joshua's fight just now vs Usyk's last fight against Chisora I've got no reason to believe that Usyk has more than a slim chance of winning.
Fury and AJ are not the best HWs, yes, they are by promotion comps and some abc ratings, but in real life they are not, put any of them right now against the likes of Usyk, Makhmudov, Majidov, Jalolov, pffff i mean even Kunkabaev probably beats both of them
Come on. Apart from Usyk, they're not proven in the professional ranks.
Would be a real shame if they chose to do this. I think this will end up meaning Joshua takes on usyk next, which honestly may not be awful as long as AJ can win - because it hopefully means we could get a 100,000 sold out Wembley later in year for AJ fury
I would probably drop the WBO if I was AJ. Was Usyk even mandatory when Andy Ruiz was the champion? But I kinda get it from the WBOs pov. What if Fury beats AJ and there's a rematch clause? It would be unfair to keep the mandatory challenger waiting even longer.
It wouldn’t stop a Usyk fight if it’s put in the contract that the winner faces Usyk next . Even in a two fight deal . There doesn’t need to be a must direct rematch if both parties agree to it .
