he clearly said in his ifl interview BEFORE the fight that he doesnt want to mention any names yet.

he reckons if the fight isnt for undisputed (ie he has to vacate the wbo belt) then he'd rather honour his mandatory in a different interview, think it was on dazn.

Is there some weird DAZN vs ESPN angle to making this fight maybe? Bob wants the fight in the US or something?

But yea it could be that AJ's lack of hyping a fight between them was a getback at Fury not showing up. Idk doe & idk that I care. It seems a virtual lock these two will fight in 2021.

Fury didn't show up because he knew that is precisely what they wanted and he was who everyone wanted to see. The broadcasters couldn't keep Furys name out of their mouths. You know Fury by now, he steals the show when he isn't even there lol.

we kind of know the way Fury works, the way he got into Klitschko’s head was basically not doing the whole corporate routine and following Wlad’s orders and acting like the opponent. so there is no way he was going to turn up because Eddie asked him.

Also he actually couldn’t anyway even if he wanted to, unless he was willing to be in the bubble all week. Fury lives in an area with tier 3 covid restrictions. They’re not even allowed to go to the event. The tickets also weren’t available to anyone living in a tier 3 area.
Oh yea I'm halfass forgetting about the coronavirus protocols going on. Yea fook that I ain't hanging out with a bunch of undercard guys for a week or w/e to hype a fight that isn't signed yet.

So he didn’t mention Fury because he might fight Usyk?

            That’s a good point.

              Call outs are silly
              They result in nothing

                Lol of course

He knows he isn’t ready for Fury anyway. I don’t blame him
for biding his time and taking more mandatories.

They have no intention of fighting Fury next.

Watch the interview on ifl...in good spirits. All he was saying is "I don't want to start mentioning names yet..I have to focus on pulev"

He's said what he's said...he's already agreed with fury in principle 50-50. Still has to face a barrage of insults and accusations from Her Majesty's finest calibre of Jeremy Kyle show fodder.
Even in that post fight interview he made it obvious he does want Tyson fury...but it was more that people even when to question him.
About the mandatory...he's said he wants the wbo to allow undisputed over mandatory...but if they're not willing then he really doesn't want to vacate a belt (u disputed being his goal). He isn't emotionally attached to fighting fury. He's just another challenger to him.
