  • decent performance , not spectacular. Joshua’s fighting more of a counter puncher style now ,still a good combination puncher clean upper cuts and combinations dropped old pulev who doesn’t have a good defense serval times, Joshua did what he was supposed to do ,Joshua was never a one clean punch knock out power puncher like wilder or klitschko.
But his defense still has holes ,ate some right hands from pulev while leaning back not moving back&blocking like klitschko fighting a little bit like klitschko but he’s no klitschko, or caught while just stiffing there ,but that’s expected from Joshua.

    • I think AJ is ever evolving and we are seeing a work in process. I wondered if we would see the gun shy AJ that beat Ruiz but he fought smart and was aggressive when it was time to be aggressive. I also think the loss the Ruiz still weighs on him and he definitely doesn't want to get hit but I think as time goes by that will fade as long as he has success or doesn't lose badly. Im one of those guys that doesn't think a loss or two ends your career.

I still think he beats everyone outside of Fury in the division and that fight is 60/40 in favor of Tyson for me. I think Tyson's skill and boxing IQ is on another level but I wouldn't be shocked if AJ stopped him. AJ has an arsenal of punches unlike Wilder and Tyson still went down twice against him. Its a must this fight gets made and fast.

        • AJ did what he had to do with the type of opponent that he had in front of him. In some instances he went for the kill he look amateurish. He looked better when he was jabbing and going with the flow instead of forcing something to happen.

          • AJ clearly has a confidence issue....he’s still a handful for anyone though, despite his failings. I don’t think Fury wants the fight personally.

The implication is he has to fight from distance all through 12. Its just impossible not to land those uppercuts on a big lad like fury.
Its a bit difficult to land on the shorter guys.

You don't think Fury wants the fight, AJ literally refused to mention Furys name in the post fight interview on both Dazn and sky bit pathetic really

What was he supposed to do? He knocked out a man a few people on here felt would give AJ problems. It wasn’t to be . So We move on, I say we as it’s a joint effort

Boy, you sound like a broken the past 2 years. I am worried about what will become of you after AJ knocked hell out of the con artist called Fury.
