What's the point of this is not like Canelo is NOT going to dump the belt once a mandatory is force

Hold up so people have no problem hating on Canelo to this day because he told the WBC to kick rocks and dumped their belt after they overstepped their boundaries in favor of GGG by making him mandatory even though he was champ under a different organization, gave GGG an inflated 40% purse bid split he did nothing to deserve, and only allowed Canelo a 6 month negotiating window which gave all the leverage to GGG who was facing no pressure from his end, but people are somehow pissed at the WBC over this situation? At least in this situation we're talking about a vacant belt rather than screwing over their own champ in favor of a different organization's fighter. Btw, even before Canelo entered the picture, the WBC had installed Smith as their "diamond" champ and had him as the number one ranked challenger with Smith previously criticizing them for sanctioning Benavidez-Avril for the then vacant belt instead of giving him the first crack.

He did the same thing with Andrade's WBO jr. middleweight belt when he was mandatory. Soon as Andrade was no longer champion, he jumped at the chance to fight Liam Smith for the vacant belt.

if he didn’t care about the belts, he wouldn’t have petitioned for the wbc belt the second Benavidez lost it on the scales. He didn’t necessarily want it when benavidez had it, but once he was out of the picture, Canelo became interested.

It amazes me fans have no idea that Hearn / Matchroom would’ve been the ones whom pushed for this for Smith since they were petitioning for it too
