First time I ever heard of him, main reasons he's one of my favorite boxers are that he's young at 25 years old, he can take a punch, he's undefeated, and he's got a pretty good left hook.
I hope Margarito fights him, then when he gets Ko'd by Margarito i'd like to see how he bounces back from defeat. This guys is calling out Margarito good. Margarito will have to fight him, so we'll see this fight. As long as Williams doesn't expect Mayweather type of money the fight can be made.
Williams v. Margarito go and email toprank please.
LOL. To be honest, I was never a fan, but I did see alot of potential in him a while back when he fighting on Sugar Ray Leonard boxing cards on ESPN. I was suprised at his reach, height and ability to throw alot of punches a round. I see a good future for him in the sport...
been a fan of Paul williams since i saw him on FNF. Him and the Peterson bros. are my favorite up and coming prospects. I still dont think that his ready for Margarito yet but i do hope he gets a shot at Margo cuz even if he loses it will still be a learning experience
Williams did well in the fight, and I picked him for an easy win over a shot, inactive fighter, but I can't say for sure he would have won that early had he not started the 4th cheating like a little *****.
In the first 15 seconds of the round Williams drug Mitchell across the ring holding him on the back of the head, hit him 6 out of 10 tries in the head, and 1 out of 2 tries aiming at the back of the head. Neither Dracula nor the commentators said anything about it.
Prior to Williams grabbing him by the back of head and dragging while hitting him, Mitchell was able to slip 10 of 11 shots thrown by Williams, and the one that hit was grazing at best.
The fouls definitely seemed to hurt Mitchell as he didn't seem to be able to get out of the way of anything after that.
I think Williams would have won regardless, but what a dirty ****ing way to do it.
Yeah he was getting a little dirty holding and hitting behind the back of the head, but everyone knows Sharmba couldn't stop that uppercut. Everytime Sharmba went low Williams went for it.

A little? 12 purposeful foul shots thrown in 15 seconds is "a little dirty"? What does it take to make it "a lot dirty"?
I agree there was no way Mitchell was going to win. He's an old, shot fighter, but that doesn't excuse that bull****.
