Why Bridgerweight will work: The WBA and boxers who want a title

The WBA is super greedy and out of control just like the WBC.

They’ll adopt this division in five seconds if the WBC can sanction a title fight.

The other factor are washed up heavyweights trying to make a name for themselves.

Someone near the top of those rankings will fight for the Bridgerweight title just because they want to win a world title.

Get ready for the 18th boxing division to become normalcy.

Yeah ofcourse taking time to building up prestige and depth plus good marketing to try build that next great heavyweight imagine tony yoka or flip hrgovic cutting to 225 for 3 for 4 fights to develop more yet dominate market selves step back up to heavyweight for 2-3 fights then challenge the elites of heavyweight. By that time theyd developed by then plus won a a major non regular belt with super legit chance to be 2 division chance for theyre basically the future of heavyweight anyways. Also some like efe ajagba whos no where close to as good could easily go to bridgerweight make real name for self then cash out at heavyweight since unless develop drastically aint winning a legit belt likewise dubois can go reinvent self there. Also usyk who wouldnt mind aiming to be 3 division champ imagine if usyk kills some time fight take belt there then immediate challenge AJ or fury comimg in as 2 division champ still giving self chance to gradually fill out heavyweight. Wilder vs usyk for the innaguaral championship with winner moving to face aj vs fury winner. I hate the new bridgerweight idea but its going catch on cause to many possibilities then if it catches on other organizations going to sanction one as well

How many people here actually wanted a smaller heavyweight division? Alot of people were complaining of how big the klitschkos were, and now they get their division.I guess wilder can be king again.

It Won't! Their 1st Ranks is a bunch of guys most fight fans don't care about now...so all of a sudden people are going to start caring about them now because of the New Division? It won't ever been that Popular just like the Cruiserweight Division

I beg to differ, they have many good fighters on that list including the PIN and Allen Savage babich. Plenty of fun fights to be made

Wilder was the first guy they asked to fight for the title. He said no thanks and wanted nothing to do with it. He said he is a heavyweight and will remain a heavyweight. he knows it is BS.

I think it will be a big flop. It is just too damn ****** of an idea to work. Almost every great or good heavyweight champion of the past weighed less than 225 pounds when they won the heavyweight title and you can do the research and see this. Every bridgerweight champion will try to get a shot at the real heavyweight title were the money and prestige is at just as top cruiserweights almost always do. Along come two big champions in AJ and Fury and suddenly we need a new weight class. No we don't. Fury was damn near knocked out by average punching 208 pound Cunningham. Ruiz would probably weigh 200 pounds minus the extra fat and he KOed big AJ. Giants often are slower and have poor stamina and weak chins and don't hit any harder than normal sized big men.
