I am sure some posters on here can probably best some of the smaller fighters (under 140) if they have a 40 lb weight advantage and most importantly compete against elite competition so that they understand what they are getting into and understand how to use your size advantage against a quicker man.

I myself know for a fact that I can best some boxers smaller than me only because I have competed against a lot of people in the amateurs and sparred against some really solid guys (some well known) and know where I compare more or less.

As for the guy that says 140 lb skilled boxer would have trouble with just an athletic 190 lb guy they forget to include one thing and I will use myself as an example sort of. I competed from bantam to welter over 4 years as a teen so I would be classified as a smaller boxer. Still in very solid shape today but since I don't worry about staying as lean as possible I am 170 lbs. Boxers are a lot heavier 99% of the time when they are not focusing on dropping weight. Add at least 20 lbs to each one aside from the few exceptions.

It also isn't the skill so much you have to worry with a skilled smaller man. It is the massive speed and reflex advantage that makes them landing on you target practice. And if you don't know how to negate that speed and they hit hard enough to hurt you then you are in trouble.

      Floyd is deceptively strong...
      Mosley almost had him out..

Pinoys were hoping JMM 4 would KO him..

Look how he did GaTTI, and a Sacramento Diego Corrales...

Ployd has a mansion near me.. Kamakura...

He knows how to sell fights

Yeah I just feel like with the weight disparity, punches landed would be of greatly disparate impact. And with the reach disparity, I think punches landed would be close to equal. A 140lb guy taking a punch from a 190lb guy is much worse than vice versa.

Could be wrong though, been wrong before.

That's the whole thing. If you are a nobody, he's not gonna bother.
I think even Larry called him out on Twitter.

You have to generate genuine public interest or you will just be one of the thousands who probably threaten to beat him up all the time.

I personally think ts should call out Wilder.

Paulie at this stage? I’m sure a few of the big posters here will work him over in a proper unsanctioned fight and just choke him. Lmao.

Paulie isnt much different in size to me so he’d jab me a couple times before I start wondering how much my dental is covering lmao

It depends on the actual power they have, I know some 140 guys that hit harder than some 190 guys you cant throw a blanket over it they all different many big guys push punches and or telegraph them to where they look in slow motion to a small fighter.

When talking elite small fighters fighting big average guys, its the body shots and fatigue that will kill them, and its very hard to land on an elite little guy clean.

Floyd has beat up some big boxers in sparing, he is surprisingly strong for his size.

no offense mate. but i don't see it during the official fight. he doesn't seem to hurt his opponent. he just outpointed them. so i'm questioning his punching power.

Yeah I mean who knows. I'm sure some 140 pounders would do OK in some matchups with a good 190 pound boxer. But it just seems like a waiting game to me. When the 190 pound guy lands, there is so much more force behind it, and the 140 pound guy only has so much weight to brace himself for the big punch.

No doubt though that not just any 190 pound guy could beat a 140 pound skilled boxer. As you said, many big guys don't know how to throw a punch, let alone box or fight.

It's funny but if I could have some faith that Floyd-Paul was a legit fight, I would probably actually be interested in seeing how an 45 year old, still somewhat elite 150 pound boxer, fares against a 200 pound above average boxer, athlete, in shape person.

It's something I've always kind of speculated on so it would interest me. But I have no reason to think that it is anything other than a set-up so it doesn't really interest me.
