I stopped reading at "The maximum weight for the division will be 224 pounds, although it won’t affect the heavyweight division which will still permit participants from 201 pounds and heavier."
So, basically, it's a division for short and in-shape heavyweights? What an absolutely R-tarded thing. It's gonna have no impact on the sport whatsoever, especially considering no other organisation will follow suit. It'll be dead within five years, if it even gets off the ground in the first place that is.

Of course that's what he thinks. WBC Guy smells his own farts & wishes he could bottle it to give those less fortunate who are unable to experience his farts.

cruiser is bad as it is now, lets make a second cruiser with overlap in another division.
cruiser at 200 was fine as it is. Their new division of up to 220's, that is who was fighting at cruiser and draining.
Some small guy who really is like 190-195, he would just drain to the more lucrative light heavy division.

Am sure Pbc/Haymon will embrace - Suliman is their lil B****!! The winner of that ridiculous belt gets the Wilder treatment - endless voluntary defenses against can after can!

its a make believe division and will only exist in contracts. The unified association of boxing commissions sets the weight divisions, not the WBC.

Yano what? I see Eddie Hearn been the first fella to accept this division, he’s probably gonna have the likes of Hughie fury going for it. He will probably have Okolie make a pit stop there before his “Enevatible” move to heavyweight. Because it’s perfect opportunity for him.
It’s all he needs to sell a fight to my fellow countrymen! Said it before I’ll say it again! He probably will lobby the WBC to have fury vs Okolie and be on Sky Sports PPV! Because Hughie is NEVER winning world title at HW and neither is Okolie. I’ll bet my house on it with anybody. Get the contract drafted I’ll sign my house over!!
