Is it possible for Crawford and Spence to not engage, boring fight? Rematch needed?

We’ve seen it many times at the highest stage where a fighter freezes up. Like Canelo wanting to box Floyd whereas China Maidana fought wreckless like Harry Greb and rose to the occasion.

What if Spence doesn’t throw his jab as much to not want to get countered? Or Spence fights Crawford like he did Mikey?

It’s quite possible that it could be a fight nobody imagined, boring...

Spence never allows anyone to take way his jab. He will jab the hell out of Crawford no matter what Crawford does.

However I can see a scenario where he ends up boxing like he did Mikey.

From what he said recently, his team urged him to box against Porter even though he ignored his team's urgings.

His team also urged him to box against Danny Garcia.

Seems like his team doesn't want him to go to the trenches unless he has to.

Hopefully his beef with Crawford will make him at least partially ignore bis corner and go to the trenches, or Crawford is able to force him to brawl.

I see no chance that would be boring. I haven`t seen Crawford in boring fight.

        I wouldn’t have thought so

Even though both are defensively sound, they’re not defensive fighters.

You used Floyd in both examples but Floyd was strictly safety first at that point in his career. So you knew he was going to do. Then the onus was on the opponent to pick a game plan.

This fight wouldn’t be like that.

I have been saying for the past two years Spence-Crawford is not gonna be a technical chess match, people really need to open their eyes and look at how these two guys approach boxing. People keep thinking this is gonna be Leonard vs Hearns and it is gonna be closer to Hagler vs Hearns, and probably last just as many rounds or be done by the 6th... I promise it won't go 12.

No it is not possible. Both boxers have always been come forward attacking fighters. Why start a thread like this? Do you want it to be a lousy fight?

How “lousy” was Mayweather vs PAC? Was it the “come forward” you expected from both fighters? I remember long ago you said Floyd cheated with the IV and you hyped those PAC won in slow motion threads, Boliodogs.

I think it'll absolutely be a chess match early. They're both cerebral fighters BUT as the fight progresses there's going to be HEAVY exchanges. These two don't have the animosity towards each other like Hagler and Hearns did. There's a good chance this fight goes all 12 and ends in a controversial decision.

I would bet the bank it ends in a stoppage.
