Comments Thread For: Porter: I Can Definitely See Crawford Making Move To PBC; Have A Feeling Arum Knows

Bob Arum's criticism of Terence Crawford following his knockout of Kell Brook surprised Shawn Porter. The former IBF and WBC welterweight champion thinks Arum should've complimented Crawford to make his undefeated fighter feel like he is still a promotional priority for Arum's Top Rank Inc. Instead, Arum claimed he continually loses money promoting Crawford's fights and expressed uncertainty regarding whether he wants to continue working with the unbeaten WBO welterweight champion.

Porter always comes off as smart and decent guy who is respected by his peers. I can't say I disagree with his take either.

Bob is lazy, but so is Al. People were complaining that there was minimal build-up for Spence-Garcia. In the 90s, Don King would have had his big cards plastered everywhere, with his Brill-O head, American flag and trademark cigar everywhere.

I agree with Shawn. The writing is on the wall for Bud to leave Top Rank. Arum already complaining about losing money and he isn't going to offer Bud any more per fight than what he's making now if he's already in the red. I don't think that necessarily means he's going to PBC though. He could end up with Hearn as I'm sure Eddie will have no problem paying what Crawford is making now because I'm sure he feels he can market Crawford the right way. Unfortunately, that means we won't see those fights against those at PBC

          DAZN wants Crawford.

          DAZN can't afford Crawford.

At least with that route he could fight Virgil Ortiz fairly easily.

I strongly doubt he joins PBC as long as BoMac is involved with opponent decisions and negotiations.

Bob Arum is a promoter, Al Haymon is a advisor.

Its Bob job to promote, its not Al job to promote.

            Promoters promote. Advisors dont.

Bud has no choice but to get with the PBC powerhouse. 2021 will see Spence vs Pac and Porter vs Crawford. The winners will then fight each other. any OBJECTIONS??

                  Sounds fine to me.

But NSB doesn't want that because they think Crawford is the top guy despite no evidence of such being presented.

                    He Should!

People crying about PBC not showing Crawford (even though they did) but the way they was pushing the 147 Division is exactly WTF Bud needs and need to be apart of. Wasn't no Negativity during the Broadcast bashing Crawford or any of that Garbage that Joe Tessitore and Mark Kriegel does over on ESPN
