    Floyd's finger to boxing

Is there anyone currently doing more to damage the credibility of boxing than Floyd? Not hating, but fighting one of your social media buddies seems like a finger to the fighters working toward recognition and reputation.

Thousands of capable boxers are currently facing financial ruin due to global economic conditions, but the platform has been offered to a non boxer again.

Considering the wealth and influence floyd already has, this is quite shameful really.

people are going to forget it soon, he's never been one that cares about boxing's image ever, he fought Big Shot before, McGregor, and Logan Paul. He retires and unretires when it suites him best, kinda of like modern day Tyson Fury, did WWE, retired during the Klitschko rematch, and unretired after Joshua beat Klitschko, a lot of fighters will do this as well, and don't forget Oscar De La Hoya did an exebition with Shaq O'neal, so these cash cows try to milk there own names as much as possible, shocked Canelo or Joshua haven't pulled off similar stunts

ANY boxer can do what Floyd is doing in fighting an exhibition , but most won’t be successful at it from a money standpoint. He built his name and now he retired and can do what he wants while making money off of his name. Anyone that’s smart won’t buy this match as there are other ways to watch but ppl will and then complain about it.

People take it far too seriously

It’s an ex pro moving around the ring with a celebrity. If people wanna pay for it and it entertains them, good for them. If people don’t wanna buy it, then they won’t.

The current state of boxing would be in a much better place of fighters like Spence and Crawford would fight each other, that’s the real problem with boxing, not a retired fighter sparring YouTubers.

Also the platform has been offered to Floyd and Logan Paul because they make money. They’re not being given charity, they are earning money that they bring in through their own marketing and hard work in the past.

If there is boxers who are not making money, struggling and have no profile then it’s because they don’t promote themselves well or they’re not good enough. you could give them the same platform, But the show would end up in debt because those guys don’t bring any money, so what is the point?

That’s the harsh reality of any industry right now.

Yeah it’s a shame some smaller name fighters are struggling at the minute because there isn’t a lot of shows available for them, but that’s nothing to do with Floyd and Logan Paul. It’s appealing to a totally different demographic.

Seems like hatin to me. If Floyd was "irrelevant" no one would care what he does with anything. That man got it out the mud with no handouts. Floyd did it to show whoever it concerns it could be done!

This is a very bizarre way of seeing this just to take a shot at Floyd.

You really think Floyd is responsible for helping all fighters make money?

Why aren’t those men responsible for building their own brand?

I'm not too sure what you are asking of Floyd here. You need to ask yourself why these pro Boxers are struggling and can you place the blame on Floyd? Personally I can't see how you could.

Only way Floyd helps directly is if he fights all these struggling pro's one after the other, but I'd call that a Boxing career and Floyd has already had one of those.

If Boxers and Boxing is struggling then I think Floyd bringing the sport to a wider market could be seen as a good thing rather than a bad one.

But if Floyd fighting can make massive money and sales, if Mike Tyson and RJJ can make massive money and sales then there is no reason why the current pro's cant. If you want to look to blame somebody for something look at the current crop and what's going wrong there.

There is to much politics, egos and marinating in boxing the fights that are supposed to happen never do or happen when both fighters are way passed their peak.

UFC is so much better in this aspect.

It really is a major issue in Boxing.
