In the 9th Spence was caught by a beautiful straight right that had his legs chicken dancing even the hometown commentators noticed it. Then in the 11th Danny was battering him on the ropes in the final few seconds and Spence literally turned his head to get away from Danny before the ref randomly jumped in.
It's called boxing. Men trying to punch each other.

Ashame I have to remind you of that basic concept. If anything it proves Spence can still take a shot from a strong punching welter

Spence proved he doesn’t want the shots from strong punching welters. Look at his body language in the final 4 rounds he tried to bull**** the fans in the 12th by engaging but that went away once Danny hit him. Spence wanted out of there but I will give credit to his chin not going down when he was clearly hurt.

Danny was landing nice counters but Spence was able to jab and move which stopped Danny from building on those nice counters.

Spence literally took shots from the higher power puncher in the welterweight division, of course he'd be bothered by it
