I would have agreed 4 years ago however something happened to Thurman in the last 3 years. Injury, really long layoffs between fights took away his prime and he just isnt the same fighter that I thought would take over welter after Pac Floyd era. He seems to have lost his killer instinct and hunger.

Its interesting to me people think either one of these guys gets stopped in this fight. Neither one has shown to be susceptible to that. They have both taken clean power shots and maybe they were rattled for a minute but thats boxing. I think the more likely outcome is a close fight that goes the distance, Id bet on a split decision if I were a betting man.

Agreed, I don't see either fighter washing the other. Usually when you get these types of match ups between top fighters, it goes the distance.

All I know is whoever wins, the other side will cry robbery but in reality the fight will just be that close. A late KD may seal the deal but there is potential for these guys to fight two or three times.

Going with Crawford in a very competitive fight

It be a more skilled Thurman-Porter

Will be a more controlled outside fight than that fight.

i think spence beats him pretty easily, one guy (spence) has been used to fighting tough opposition at welterweight whereas the other guy has been in a comfort zone against washed up has beens and C level fighters for the last few years. you cant go from fighting that level of opposition to beating someone like spence at the flick of a switch. its not hard to pass the 'eye test' when youve been fighting trash

He may fight Porter before fighting Spence so that will be good for him. Not that it is needed but more likely these two face off late next year opposed to the summer.

If one of them gets Pacquiao then the other needs to fight Porter.
