Comments Thread For: Porter: Garcia Looks Simple From Outside; Faster, Quicker, Stronger Than People Recognize

DALLAS Shawn Porter doesn't expect Errol Spence Jr. to stand and trade with Danny Garcia. Porter figures that's the only way Garcia can catch Spence with a well-timed counter punch that could change their welterweight title fight Saturday night. The former IBF and WBC 147-pound champion anticipates Spence taking a more tactical approach against Garcia, who is considered a dangerous opponent in Spence's first fight since his well-documented car accident in October 2019.

Nate Robinson was fit and scrappy. He has hands, but he can't box. had no ring experience, and had no idea how to take a punch. If he did, he wouldn't have ran face first into punches like that. He knocked himself out

Exactly!.....well said. If Nate could box as well as he dunks, there’s no way he’d have gotten KO’d.....

He wasn't trained or if he was, wasn't trained well. Because your first reaction is to get up and go (Judah), but you're supposed to be trained to stay composed (Fury).

With all due respect to lil Nate Robinson, Legendary pros have been knocked out cold out by 1 punch such as Duran by Thomas 'Hitman' Hearns,Pacquioa by JMM,Michael Moore by George Forman etc. Garcia has a punchers chance if Spence makes amateur mistakes and leaves himself in the trap zone.

Porter talking up his fellow PBC fighter like he's something special.Garcia is a basic, counter punching guy with a good left hook. His chin seems solid, but Porter's not a puncher.
