    Edison Miranda

Edison Miranda is an exciting prospect. He can punch very well and makes for entertaining fights. My critique is that he is too wild and can get caught in between punches, as you'll see in this clip from the Eastman fight. This fight made me an immediate fan, as he showed thsat he has heart and can recover when hes hurt. Hes probably being jumped up in opposition too quickly with a fight with a title fight with Abraham next. But hes gonna make it an exciting fight no matter what occurs. Heres the exciting conclusion to his fight with Howard Eastman.

Miranda has never been hurt. He has a loop punches like Mayorga. He does have a lot power in his hands though. to KO Eastman.

Yeah Ia agree with you. He is kind of wild, I remember him getting hurt or dazed against Eastman. He definently has some power though.

I could've sworn he was stunned or something in one of the rounds with Eastman before he finished him.

Eastman did buzz him briefly but Miranda quickly recovered and took care of Eastman convincingly.

The kid is powerful, hungry, and made out of iron. I wish him luck against Abraham in the toughest fight of his career but I think win, lose, or draw, we will see a lot more of this guy in the future.

He's going to get eaten up by a FRESH fighter (which Eastmen was not) who can throw straight punches.

Possibly, but that's what they said about Marciano too everytime he went up against a superior boxer. We know what happened in his case. What is left to be determined is Miranda's courage in the face of real danger. How will he handle getting his ass kicked in a fight? I think, and this is going mostly on intuition, that he will do well in such a situation. I believe this guy is tougher than most and will really go far in this sport. I just have that feeling.

No doubt. He has that incredible background but boxing is still the sweet science. Basically I think of his career like I think of his amateurs. You win on your own terms. A guy like Kelly Pavlik I really think would eat him up because he has that great amateur background. Miranda seems really week and unpolishe to me.

Miranda has a great amateur back ground. Something like 125-3. All doubts people have will be answered next Saturday. I believe he has not only power but great skills that people have not yet seen. IMO he would destroy Pavlik.

His mind does not understand fear or doubt. When he walks into the ring next week he knows he will take the belt away from the smurf. Let's wait and see.

A great hearted kid with a great story. I think he will be around for years to come.
