For the record i think it’s well out of order that anyone wished that Spence had died, even though it’s just attention seeking hyperbole from idiots on twitter and no one on here.

Just don’t like when it’s being made into a race issue by posters with an agenda. I think Spence is an ar5ehole because he selfishly put lives at risk, nothing to do with his colour. I equally think the byker grove guy with the high rise forehead from the U.K. is an ar5ehole, not because he’s white but because he selfishly put lives at risk.

He certainly made a mistake. And I’m asking because maybe I don’t know everything. But I was under the impression that the amount of alchohol in his system was so minute, he wasn’t prosecuted for drink driving? And when they say it’s a misdemeanour, isn’t drink driving or DWI in America) a felony? I’m in U.K. so really wouldn’t know!! Not trying to say you’re wrong, I’m asking for info!

From my understanding, he was well above the limit, and also his speed was crazy high. He was charged with a DWI, which I believe is only a misdemeanor in Texas if it's your first one.

From experience (not me but someone close to me) I know that in general the first DUI/DWI is a misdemeanor.

I think level of intoxication or speed in the crash could impact the penalty. But when you have money you can kind of pay for those details to be swept under the rug.

WTF kind of inane b.s. is this? Autopsy also showed that George Floyd had cancerous polyps in his lower intestine that could've one day killed him. Plausible cause of death? Possibly, except that his actual murder is caught on video.

Here is another article - which shows that Floyd had nearly the exact same encounter and same behavior a year prior to the day he died.

It appears though that the first time, in 2019, he didn't ingest all the drugs he had on him. The 2nd time, he unfortunately likely did. And that's how he likely died. Certainly played a major role in it, it would seem.

Gray and Eric Nelson, Chauvin’s attorney, wrote that during a May 2019 arrest, Floyd wouldn’t listen to officers’ commands, put something in his mouth, had to be physically removed from a vehicle, then began to cry. In that case, several opioid pills were found, along with *******, they wrote.

Nelson compared Floyd’s behavior in both arrests, saying: “Clearly, Mr. Floyd had a modus operandi in the way he acted when approached by police officers while attempting to conceal narcotics.”

I think it's pretty clear what happened - Floyd had ingested a lot of drugs into his system, and spazzed out. He likely knew that if the drugs he had on him were found, he was going back to jail for a very long time. The police tried to detain him, and in so doing, it is certainly very arguable (from my limited perspective anyway) that the method in which they restrained him did not help him in his drug addled state.

But at the same time - what exactly would you have done there? Keep in mind you can't just let the criminal always do whatever they want. Often times they are playing a game and you have to be on your guard.

When you put yourself repeatedly in bad situations with the police, eventually something bad may and will happen. The failure to hold someone like Mr Floyd culpable in his death is a losing perspective. People should be teaching that lesson instead of preaching the false narrative that black men are being sought out and executed by cops. It's ridiculous.
