    So who is?

Great chin, great coordination, great reflexes and tremendous hand speed.

He did a lot of things wrong too; fought with his hands at his sides, leaned back from punches, moved straight back, rarely went to the body, pushed down on opponents necks often.

He got some gifts along the way. He was a media sensation who could revive boxing with his charisma. Talented yes, but not the greatest fighter who ever lived. Especially if we are talking P4P.

Impossible to hit. After his layoff, he was slow and took a lot of hits. His power wasn't amazing. Yet, he still beat Frazier and Foreman so he must have done something right.

        How was Ali's power?
        Was his game fundamentally sound?
        How was his defense?

He has wins over Liston, Frazier, Foreman.

Thats the goat resume at heavyweight

He fought everyone and didn’t cherrypick. And he beat 4 ATGs in their primes.

He’s the GOAT without a doubt. They don’t make boxers like him anymore. The only boxers close in recent times are Lennox, Holyfield and AJ.

Joe Louis is better at heavyweight.

Joe Louis was the lineal heavyweight champion for 12 consecutive years.

Let’s just put it like this:

Lennox Lewis, a guy who a lot of people try to argue was one of the very best, his longest reign as lineal heavyweight champion was three years.

If Lennox Lewis was as good as Joe Louis was, he would have beaten Shannon Briggs in 1998 for the lineal title and not lost that title until 2010.

                  1998-2010 is 12 years.

                  Think about that.

Let that sink in and then tell me Joe Louis isn’t the greatest heavyweight of all time.

Joe Louis lost against the best fighters he faced: Max Shmelling and Rocky Marciano.

                      Gifts? Please explain.

You completely dodged my question. If Ali isn’t, who is?
