    Holyfield-Sam in November?

It's being reported that four-time heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield, fresh off a two-round destruction of journeyman Jeremy Bates, is already making plans to return in November. [details]

This is not a bad move by Holyfield, but he will probably lose.

I've never seen or heard of Sam, but I think Holyfield could beat him. Evander does have something left.

Sam has a granite chin, and pretty good power.
Holy has a slight chance to outbox him, but I think he will get stopped in the mid rounds due to volume punching.
Sam just lost a pretty close UD to Oleg Maskaev in November of 2005, and took some massive shots.
Holy has no chance to stop him.

I agree. sam should be able to out work him for a fairly easy decision. still cant believe holy wont hang them up. its getting so ridiculous. can only imagine what he's putting his poor family through

well, he said he was injured, and that's why he couldn't fight to his full ability. but hey, i'm interested in where holyfield can take things, he looks to be a lot better than heavyweights i've been seeing lately.

IMO this fight is too much of a step up for Holyfield right now. He should fight another Bates caliber type opponent in October and if all goes well, then fight someone who's ranked.

Times is running out for Holyfield(because of age)but stepping up too soon might be disasterous and result in a knockout. I think, better to fight some "Shannon Briggs" type opponents and regain some swagger than to risk getting hurt against someone dangerous.
