Comments Thread For: Anthony Joshua: The Longer I Wait For Fury, The Better Prepared I'll Be

IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua is pretty confident in his ability to deal with WBC champion Tyson Fury. Joshua has no concerns after watching Fury's one-sided stoppage win over Deontay Wilder back in February.

Until you have a panic attack against another fighter and lose the title to an underdog which is bound to happen

He might be waiting a long time. We know Fury has turned him down for less money in the past and Fury does love those cherry picked fights against nobodies.

Wtf is this click bait title? I read the article disappointedly expecting AJ to be non-committal about fighting Fury next year, but he says nothing at all to indicate this.

Fury loves a good cherry pick yes, but he has proved time again that he is prepared to roll the dice when the stakes are sufficiently high enough, and against AJ he’ll earn far more than he has in his life.

Yes he has turned down AJ previously, but that was to go after easier pickings in Wilder that still yielded a decent reward, and there’s no doubt that AJ’s loss to Ruiz will have given him added confidence. Besides Fury doesn’t have anywhere to go beyond AJ to make great money, as he’s not a ticket-seller on his own. His cancelled December return will tell you that.

Hearn wants the money , Warren can't wait Fury wants to get to it ASAP as I suspected Joshua doesn't want it.

I read it more of a warning to Fury to take the fight as soon as possible. But if you want to interpret that he is afraid go ahead. I know Joshua won't be the one to run away from negotiations.
