As the title of the thread says, do you guys think the WBA, IBF and WBO will adopt this new weight class? I’m not a fan of it whatsoever but I have a strong feeling it will be here to stay in the next few years if/when the other three organisations adopt the weight class.

Just get in shape and then cut to 200lbs if you don’t want to fight the tall big guys. I don’t think there’s a lot of fighters that are too short for the tall guys and then somehow at the same time so peeled that they can’t make 200lbs. Heavies make the money, it’s the cost of doing business.

No I don't think they will adopt this ****** totally unneeded 224 pound weight class or change cruiserweight to 190. What 224 pound boxer worth a damn will settle for being the 224 pound champion and not try to win the unlimited real heavyweight title? None of them. Hell, just about every top cruiserweight goes after the heavyweight title so why would a 224 pound champion be different? Most of the great heavyweights of the past weighed less than 224 pounds when they won the heavyweight title.

It will have prospects that are smallish and junky journeyman that know their place in the division. Beyond that small heavies will always fight in the open class because that's where the money is.
