I honestly think its a swansong and possibly a sign that the end is near. They originally mentioned how they wanted use boxing to penetrate highly competitive sports broadcasting rights like the NFL and college football...but how on earth were they going to do with this boxing? Broadcasters like ESPN (owned by Disney), TimeWarner and others have ****** money, their warchests are just too big to compete with. It seems like the best course from here would be to look for a possible buyer which good happen...but I'm not entirely sure what's exactly on offer. They don't really seem to have a roster of compelling talent outside of Joshua and Canelo anyway.
They should have made more of an effort to foster good relationships with both Arum and Haymon. Sorry, but both guys are Harvard graduate professionals who have been in the game for decades. Did they just think they were going to waltz in and steal a bunch of talent and hype??? From the Wilder negotiations they kinda came off as amateurs.
