No room for excuses and understanding in boxing. All it does is make for favoritism.

I don't care if you agree or disagree with Daniel. Y'all are the worst when it comes to picking a lane and staying there. The next guy who does that exact same thing will get a customized response from fans, everyone does, and that's a bunch of catty ass female bull****.

    People loved Manny's excuses

    People hated Vitali's

    Same **** happened to them

Same posters change their tune per boxer regardless of conduct, situation, or aftermath solely based on names.

Let Broner quit on an eye injury and see if the same mugs who kiss danny's ass kiss his. Ain't going to happen. So, each and everyone of you can get on your high horse and ride. Ain't a god damn thing said here even the truth let alone have any worth to it. Principles and platitudes that means so much to youse, are so close to yer hearts, y'all gonna flip on them as soon as someone you don't like applies to them. Sell it the gullible and naive, I ain't buying.

          Byrd can’t crack an egg.

Joyce has heavy hands and Dubois had one eye.

Either you see the difference or you’re a Klitschko fan.

If you are going to make the thread, at least make a legit poll. Couldn't even answer after the BS way you phrased it

My eyes, my brain, my nuts. Those 3 areas, I would be very cautious of, certainly would be in a fight. If I felt like I needed to bow out due to concern over one of these 3 areas, I would bow out. No shame in it at all.

I only saw the stoppage, but the eye was clearly messed up. You can see Joyce target it about 10 seconds before he takes the knee. He connects, and I think Dubois has to do some thinking there in that time and finally says 'I'm done'. Will never be mad at a man for bowing out over concern for his eyes.

People speculating as to what DDD was actually thinking during the fight are ridiculous. How can you say he knew what injury he had and the possible implications of it for his long term career, and was assessing this information while fighting then made a rational decision to take a knee to "save his sight?" That is so ******.

We all saw Dubios get hit and then take a knee immediately, implying it was the pain from that punch that made him quit. If it was some rational, career minded decision, he would have quit BETWEEN ROUNDS.

I can't believe how irrational people can be; imagining that this guy was thinking all this stuff about his career and family and long term health WHILE fighting, and weighing up all these decisions then calmly decided to quit. Such idiots. Smh.

He had a legit injury. No shame in quitting to fight another day.

I remember when Golota quit against Tyson. Because of his previous antics during fights I was critical of him. But in the end he had legit injury in that fight due to Tyson's punches went went through bad episodes after the fight.

Some injuries fighters can go on. Others are too painful, they are risking too much or simply handicap the fighter.

I don't give a damn about the differences. I'm human too, lots of things guys have said sound like good reasons to me, but, no excuses means no excuses. Across the board no matter what.

                    I wasn't defending Vitali.
