I agree with this. There was a lot of talk about this fight.

This is going to be a big financial success.

I’m not surprised one bit. The public has a huge soft spot for Tyson and he is genuinely someone people want to see succeed.

I’m going out on a limb and predict this fight will exceed 1 million buys.

I think it do 1 million plus.
Everyone was talking about it so I think enough casuals got the FOMO and jumped in.
People here underestimate Tyson’s star power. He’s one of the most recognizable athlete’s around the world of all time.

Mike Tyson is the biggest figure in pro boxing in America right now. He could sell a million ppvs playing ping pong or tic tac doe.

It's a perfect storm for Mike and he should take advantage of it. The sport is dead in America right now, there are no huge fights with any huge American stars to look forward too, so there is a big opening of opportunity for Tyson to step in and he is. He can make millions and at the same time revive the dead sport. It really is great to see Tyson as the face of boxing again.

A lot more than conventional wisdom would suggest, there were a lot of people who watched that fight.

Wouldve done a million but people streamed the f... Out of this alot of ppl watched. My guess is it did 500-700k buys better than anyone boxing not named canelo pacquaio. Dnt give me fury dude doesnt sale in usa Great showman got skills too yet cause british and a goofy 1 at that itd be hard for fury to be a realiable ppv draw outside vs aj. Cause vs wilder doing 300k-700k. Yeah idk outside aj hw he can hit 750k above for fight.. Aint like he floyd where everyone hates u n numbers are major cause ppl hope this the fight you lose.

As you and some others hit on, I'm not surprised at all. The casual buzz for this fight was as big as I've seen since May-Mac. Much bigger casual buzz than GGG-Canelo and Fury-Wilder
