What is it with British fighters and their plastic eye sockets? No wonder these guys had to fight wearing suits of armour back in the day. Without them the british empire would have died a thousand years ago. Even the convicts they sent to Australia needed face masks to survive.

This is all true. We Australians eventually evolved to no longer require the iron facemasks, but that only occurred circa 1960. Up until then we would have to wear them whenever we left the house.
