  • Dreadful matchmaking putting Dubois in with JJ, he was in no way prepared for a fight with him....he’s all wrong for him but to be fair, Joyce is wrong for most heavyweights.
He’s not easy on the eye but he’s a unit and more skilled than given credit for. I would only pick Fury to beat him without any argument - he’d give anyone else a proper fight.

As for Dubois, if his eye isn’t career ending he needs to fight guys round the top 20 or 30 and learn to box. He froze last night and his corner were a disgrace, absolutely out of their depth.

I'm British and always said I preferred JJ to DDD because DDD has never been tested.

You can't hype someone until they have proven themselves in challenging situations. You don't know the measure of a man until he is pushed to his limits (and beyond).

Joyce literally won the fight with only his left jab.

Yup, this guy knows his boxing ^^

          • Fight went pretty much as predicted, DDD to win inside six, if it goes beyond that then it's JJ fight.
I slightly favoured JJ in this fight, although I assumed the worse-case scenario that he might either have to climb off the deck to win, or be on the brink of getting stopped before he got his second wind.

I didn't expect him to dominate DDD with just a pawing (but VERY effective) jab. Yes JJ got caught a few times but had no trouble absorbing DDD shots.
I had JJ leading by two points at the stoppage. It was a close fight and I wouldn't argue with those who had it even closer, as for the judge who had DDD winning eight of the rounds? Give me a break....
Who else noticed DDD's ring walk? When the camera went close up and he look like a scared rabbit caught in headlights? Contrast that to how cool and relaxed JJ seemed.
The fight may have been won psychologically before a punch was thrown.

Prior to the fight most pundits claimed that the loser would come back again....NONSENSE.
Yes, the young DDD can rebuild his career at 23, what does Joyce to at 35?
If the fight had gone the way some pundits predicted with Joyce getting KO'd, when would he fight again? Next April at the earliest, or maybe next summer? He's 36 next September.
If he lost by KO then his next fight would be against a tomato-can to rebuild his confidence, win that and next up a domestic or European level opponent?
Then he has to get back into world contention, so the European title would be one option, but when? in 2022 when he's 37?
Last night's fight was crucial for Joyce and just a career setback for DDD.

            • Latest news is that DDD suffered a broken eye socket and nerve damage last night.
So that might be a slow ponderous jab that JJ possesses, but it's certainly powerful.

I knew JJJ would take DDD shots well and stop him in the late rounds. Of all the predictions only David Haye got it rightly
Whats all this 'must be a Brit' nonsense. Joyce is British too and lots of us 'Brits' wanted him to win.

This comment is probably why no one on here takes you seriously. Jake Paul beating Hamzah Sheeraz? Lol you idiot. Hamzah Sheeraz is one of the best if not the best prospect in Britain.

                  • For some reason I was surprised that Dubois was only 23. That is very young compared to to present division.

I was kidding, of course I don’t believe that.

Nobody takes me seriously on here?...

I’m one of the few people that predicted exactly how Joyce v Dubois would go, even with in depth details of why Joyce would win.

I’m one of the few 5 years ago that said in detail why Fury can beat Wlad, while everyone laughed at the thought of it.

You should read more of my serious posts and you might learn a few things about boxing.

I know my stuff my friend, even if I wind people up or joke sometimes.
