    Danny Jacobs Just Doesn't Have……

The fire anymore. He's 33 years old, has made great money and has other priorities now. And that's completely understandable. I posted before the fight on how he looked bad/flat against Canelo and Chavez Jr, and he somehow looked worse against Rosado. Jacobs has always been talented but has had some confidence issues and now he simply doesn't have the heart for boxing. He's now fighting basically to not put himself in any risk of getting hurt and is just going through the emotions.

I would recommend him retiring but I bet he goes for one big pay day before calling it a career.

I think he may well have grown complacent, believing that getting more world title shots and big fights is just going to be inevitable for him because of who he is. That may have been true a couple of years ago but I just get this feeling that he's on his way to becoming yesterday's news.

I cannot stress how bad he looked against a washed up Chavez Jr. He also made GREAT money for that fight. Those DAZN checks hit different and the love for the game is gone. I'm not even mad at him considering his age and where he's at in his life. His son is now competing in sports himself, he has a new boo that he's possibly in love with and he's made A LOT of money. Danny has already beaten the odds after successfully beating cancer. For his sake, I hope he doesn't get badly hurt in his cash out fight.

He had absolutely no urgency in a close fight. He didn’t look like he really wanted to be in there.

How much money has he been making?

jacobs never that great to begin with. only claim to fame is ko'ing chinny quillin. once his power stopped being a factor in fights he became mediocre.

No, Jacobs at his best is a fine fighter. P4P top 10 level? No, but very good nonetheless.

Pretty sure his deal was three fights for close to 30M with DAZN. That's pretty ridiculous money, especially when two of those fights were against Jr and Rosado lol.
