I’ve said in a few posts that Joyce has deceptively decent feet and very good at cutting off the ring and setting up his slow punches but allowing him to get them off. People talk about his slow punches but they don’t realise that the reason he is landing them is because he’s getting into range quicker than the opponents anticipate.

I think Daniel Dubois fights in very straight lines and very correct which I think could be a problem for him. I think to deal with Joe Joyce, you probably need some decent lateral movement.

Of course it’s heavyweight boxing, DD might just land one him and end it. But Joyce can **** also, so maybe he lands a big shot first.

Outside of just landing a big shot early doors, then I think if the fight is going quite a few rounds, then DD has to show things we’ve never seen from him to deal with Joyce. maybe he has those tools, but I’ve yet to see them.

Yeah he has a point. It’s hard to imagine where Joyce will go after the massacre tonight given his age. No time to rebuild and I doubt he would be satisfied at domestic level for a long time given his amateur pedigree and world title aspirations.

To be honest I’m completely shocked too my man. Never thought he has it in him. He’s so slow and mechanical but I’ll be damned he never stops with that jab and it works
