Comments Thread For: Daniel Jacobs Bags Lackluster Split Decision Win Over Gabe Rosado

Daniel Jacobs will clash with Gabriel Rosado on Friday, Nov. 27, behind closed doors and subject to strict COVID-19 protocols at Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, Florida, live on DAZN. (photos by Ed Mulholland)

Jacobs and Rosado have built up a rivalry over the last year and now that comes to a head.

Jacobs (36-3, 30 KOs) made the first steps on his target of becoming a two-weight World champion with victory over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in Phoenix, Arizona in December. That was the “Miracle Man’s” first foray into the 168-lbs. scene after the two-time World Middleweight king moved up from 160 lbs. after his unification clash with Canelo Alvarez in Las Vegas in May 2019.

Rosado (25-12-1, 14 KOs) appeared on the undercard in Phoenix and clashed with Jacobs ahead of the weigh-in. The Philly ace recorded a ten round points win that night to return to winning ways following his thrilling back-and-forth battle with Maciej Sulecki on home turf in March 2019, and the 34-year-old will be out to fire himself into contention for the World title clash that Jacobs seeks.

    Yaaaaaaaaawwwwwwnnnnnn...

Not the most compelling matchup so won’t be staying up for this one but I do hope Rosado wins. Not the most talented but will genuinely fight anyone anywhere. A real throwback.

Expect Jacobs to win a wide decision though, should be a level above tbh.

This is good ol fashion beef.

Jacobs ain’t the levels above Rosado he claims, I expect this to be somewhere along the lines of Hoya- Vargas entertaining, though it could be one sided.

I like both guys a lot. Jacobs beat cancer, my beloved sister didn’t, and Rosado fights anyone. Rosado gets cut a lot, hit a lot, but he’s always game.

Jacobs beat El mammon Chavez jr. Which I liked a lot!

I’ll watch, not live, cuz I’ll be asleep!

Look forward to more Kazak champs in the future.

My Russian buddy said “those inbred fools fight good, but Russians beat them down”

He has plenty of Kazak and Uzbekistan jokes.

All related to camels, carpets, poor nutrition, and inbreeding.

This is a joke of a fight. Jacobs should be ashamed of himself for fighting his first two fights at 168 against two mediocre guys in cherry pick fights. Rasado is tough and game but he is a small middleweight who loses one out of every 3 fights and has been stopped 4 times. There are many guys Jacobs could have fought at 168 who are much better than Chavez jr and Rosado. DAZN should also be ashamed for making this mismatch fight and acting like it is a good fight. I will watch it to see Jacobs in action because he is a damn good fighter. I expect Jacobs to win every round by a mile.

I’m not that bothered tbh. He’s fought GGG, Canelo, Derevyanchenko and Sulęcki pretty much in a row.

A couple of easy paydays at the new weight is no issue with me as long as he’s in a competitive fight next.

But, yeah in general he doesn’t trust Americans at all. He said they talk chit: words without meaning.

Example: how you doing— then they don’t want to hear how you are doing!

Most guys who give this devil jobs are all rich, company founders, who validate me via word of mouth ***ish 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸.

This is why I tell guys, I’ll always have work. Always.

But, I hate clannish behavior and my fellow ***s can be very very clannish, much to my chagrin
